Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers’ needs. We are currently looking for Operators tosupport our PA operations. This is a seasonal, full‑time opportunity running primarily from May through September/October, offering 40–60 hours per week. Although the role is seasonal, your benefits remain active year‑round, ensuring continuous coverage even during the off‑season. You may also be eligible for unemployment benefits during the winter months, providing additional financial support until the next season begins.

Main Responsibilities

  • Will operate equipment as needed such as: Chipper Spreaders, graders, pavers, compactors, loaders, rollers, sweepers and water trucks
  • Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Ensure cleanliness of assigned equipment and work area
  • Utilize tools associated with Full Depth Reclamation and/or Chip Seal activities such as rakes, shovels and brooms

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Driver's License and good driving record
  • Possession of valid CDL is preferred
  • Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by Company safety guidelines
  • Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Standing/working on feet for long periods, and walking across uneven terrain
  • Frequent exposure to loud noise
  • Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles
  • Regularly exposed to extended periods of physical activity in extreme heat
  • Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
  • Required to work varying hours, including nights/weekends, and overnight travel with overnight stays
