The Middleware Development & Support Analyst is responsible for converting business user requirements into technical/functional requirements for system development. This includes system analysis, functional design, functional specification documentation and have proactive communications and collaborate with business and technical personnel for analysis and design. This role also responsible in ensuring that all documentation, processes and methodologies used in the various phases of system development and implementation are in accordance with the Bank’s standards and able to facilitate future maintenance and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Responsible for converting business user requirements into technical/functional requirements for system development
System analysis, functional design, functional specification documentation and have proactive communications and collaborate with business and technical personnel for analysis and design.
Liaise with business users to define systems requirements
Ensure amended and enhanced systems meet user functional requirement specifications.
Ensure good functional specification documentation
Ensure that all documentation, processes and methodologies used in the various phases of system development and implementation are in accordance with the Bank’s standards.
To provide clear instructions and directions to technical team for system development and enhancement
Ability to develop, document, and maintain operational policies and procedures, including the design and documentation of detailed process flows, and the development of marketing and training materials
Provide expert advice for best solution to product owners, business users and development team
Provide options/alternatives available to address Users Business Requirements and recommendation on software solution
Prepare functional test scripts, conduct review of system tests, to ensure accuracy and to ensure quality of the system or enhancement
Proposal on enhancement of applications for better performance and user experience
Able to communicate solution proposal to business
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For:
Degree in related field
3 years experience in Middleware, Software Integration or EAI development
Hands on experience in development work for IBM ACE Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM IIB (IBM Integration Bus)
Experience in administration of IBM Message Queue (MQ).
In-depth knowledge of standards/technologies that enable messaging, including JAVA, SOA, REST, XML, WSDL, SOAP, JMS, Kafka, HTTP and SSL
Experience in IBM DataPower and IBM API Connect would be an added advantage
Good knowledge of Unix (AIX) platform
Experience with services and Integration with real-time services SOAP, Restful, Web service & MQ
Experience in DataPower security concepts and SSL outsets
Candidates with strong development skillset are also encouraged to apply.
Special Skill
IBM ACE Connect Enterprise (ACE) or IBM IIB (IBM Integration Bus)
At least 3 years’ experience in development work on IBM Integration Bus
Experience in development work for Java, ESQL, DFDL programming language
Thorough knowledge of all Nodes in Message Flow development environment and their usage
IBM WebSphere Message Queue
At least 3 years’ experience working on IBM Websphere MQ
Experience in MQ series, WebSphere MQ administration and application programming & MQ Integrator (MQI).
