We’re looking for a creative and user-focused Mid-Level UX/UI Designer with 3+ years of web design experience, who thrives in agile environments and is comfortable using AI tools to move faster from idea to interface. The ideal candidate applies Human-Centered Design from research to concept, builds accessible and user-friendly interfaces backed by a consistent component library, and works closely with developers to deliver high-quality designs on time.

About the position

Blossom builds core and digital banking, payments and hardware solutions for U.S. credit unions. Our back office products are the tools credit union staff use every day to run their operations, and as their priorities grow, so does the need for thoughtful, consistent design.

As a UX/UI Designer on our back office product line, you will share ownership of the design work with our current designer, turning UX objectives into clear, accessible interfaces for complex workflows. You will take ideas from research to high-fidelity prototypes, maintain our component library and work side by side with developers, using AI tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping and design-to-frontend delivery.

Duties

  • Apply Human-Centered Design across the full process: research, problem definition, ideation, concept and validation.
  • Translate UX objectives and business requirements into attractive, user-friendly and accessible interfaces for back office products.
  • Build low-, medium- and high-fidelity prototypes to explore and validate solutions with stakeholders and users.
  • Maintain and evolve a standardized component library to ensure visual and functional consistency across products.
  • Use AI tools for ideation, prototyping and frontend generation, evaluating and refining their outputs to meet quality standards.
  • Collaborate with developers during implementation to ensure designs are built as intended and reduce rework.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and deliver design work within sprint timelines.
  • Work with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize design needs and communicate design decisions clearly.
  • Share workload and knowledge with the current designer to ensure continuity and backup across products.

Requirements

  • Professional degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Interactive Design, Interface Design, Human-Centered Design or a related field.
  • English level B2 or higher.
  • 3+ years of experience in web design, including 1–3+ years designing web interfaces, apps or software.
  • 2–3+ years of experience with graphic design and experience design tools.
  • Solid UI design foundations: typography, color theory, visual hierarchy and Gestalt principles.
  • Experience building low- to high-fidelity prototypes in agile environments.
  • Experience creating and maintaining standardized component libraries.
  • Knowledge of accessibility principles for digital interfaces.
  • Confident use of AI tools for ideation, prototyping and frontend generation, including prompting, evaluating and refining outputs.
  • Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, Adobe, Miro, Office and Google Workspace.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, BizAgi and Git (Sourcetree or GitHub Desktop).

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Experience designing for back office, enterprise or financial services products.

Competencies

  • Assertive and effective communication.
  • Creativity, innovation and initiative.
  • Results, quality and service orientation.
  • Self-management and collaborative work.

Perks

  • 100% Remote Work – Work from anywhere during the contract period.
  • Multicultural Environment – Collaborate with global teams.
  • Learning & Exposure – Gain hands-on experience in a fintech/digital banking environment.
  • Impactful Work – Contribute to data solutions that drive strategic decisions.

About Blossom

Blossom is an AI-native banking platform built with credit unions, covering core banking, digital banking, card processing, payments, and lending. It is fully integrated, cloud-native, developer-first, and designed for both humans and AI agents.

Credit unions typically run on a multitude of outdated systems. Blossom replaces that patchwork one vendor at a time, so institutions can modernize gradually and end up on a single intelligent platform that is continuously learning and evolving with them.

Founded in 2020, Blossom acquired HomeCU in the same year, went live with its new platform in 2023 and acquired CUProdigy in 2024 in order to upgrade all existing customers. Operating as a CUSO, Blossom has raised over $47M from its own customers. Today, the company serves over 350 credit unions, their thousands of employees and millions of members.

Blossom is headquartered in Ogden, UT and Coral Gables, FL. Its mission is to help credit unions flourish by building the first truly modern banking platform and make money a force for good.
