MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A valid Michigan Teacher's Certificate.
2. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
3. A valid State of Michigan (ZG or ZP) endorsement.

SUMMARY OF PERFORMANCE DUTIES AND RESPONSIILITIES (but not limited to..):

1. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student.
2. Uses a variety of instruction strategies, such as inquiry, group discussion, lecture, discovery, etc.
3. Translates lesson plans into learning experiences so as to best utilize the available time for instruction.
4. Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
5. Evaluates students' academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares progress reports.
6. Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss students' progress.
7. Maintains current student data including all relevant measures of academic progress.

REQUIREMENTS

Newly hired employees must satisfactorily pass:

1. Reference checks
2. Police clearance including digital fingerprinting.

ANNUAL SALARY:

Salary and exceptional fringe benefits based upon BEA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
