Job Title:Middle School Substitute Teacher
Job Status: Part-Time, As-Needed
Reports to:Middle School Director
New Roads School is seeking a part-time Middle school substitute teacher to cover courses for specified periods when the regular teacher is unavailable. The substitute teacher is a part-time temporary employee that is called on an as-need basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Substitute Teachers will ensure the continuation of the instructional program in the absence of the regular teacher, following the regular teacher's lesson plans
Maintain a professional attitude in the classroom
Experience working in various schools
Ability to communicate with a diverse audience
Passion for education and prior teaching experience with 6th-8th grades
Desire and ability to work effectively with colleagues
Enthusiasm, patience, and a positive attitude
Ability to provide supervision and follow instructions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong classroom management skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Live Scan background check and Tuberculosis clearance are required before working.

The hourly rate for this part-time role is $25 per hour.
