Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of high-performing K–8 public charter schools committed to academic excellence, college readiness, and equitable access to high-quality education for students in historically underserved communities. AMS Arkansas represents our first expansion beyond Arizona, and we are excited to serve students and families in the Little Rock community. We believe in high expectations, rigorous instruction, and strong relationships that empower students to become confident, informed, and engaged citizens.
AMS is seeking a passionate and data-driven Middle School Social Studies Teacher to deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that develops students' understanding of history, geography, civics, economics, and world cultures.
This role focuses on helping middle school students strengthen their critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and communication skills while encouraging them to make meaningful connections between historical events, current issues, and their role as responsible citizens. The ideal candidate creates an engaging classroom where scholars are challenged to think critically, ask thoughtful questions, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
