
Middle School Intramural Volleyball Coach � Fall 2026
Fremont Middle School is seeking an Intramural Volleyball Coach for the Fall 2026 season. Pay is a $1,500 stipend for the season.
The Middle School Intramural Coach provides students with a positive, inclusive opportunity to participate in school athletics while developing fundamental skills, confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The program is designed for students with a range of experience and ability and emphasizes skill development and participation rather than competition
The intramural season is shorter than the regular middle school athletic season. Students will participate in scheduled practices, skill-building activities, and controlled scrimmages. The team will not participate in a regular competitive game schedule or travel for away contests. The season may conclude with a local game or scrimmage between Roseburg Schools middle school intramural teams.

REPORTS TO: The athletic director, who provides overall program direction and evaluation.
JOB GOAL:
To provide middle school students with an accessible and positive athletic experience focused on learning the fundamentals of the sport, developing individual skills, building confidence, and experiencing the benefits of teamwork and participation.
PROGRAM STRUCTURE:
This position differs from a regular competitive middle school coaching assignment. The intramural program operates for a shortened season and focuses primarily on instruction, practice, skill development, and participation. Intramural teams do not participate in a regular interscholastic competition schedule or travel for away contests. A local culminating game or scrimmage may be scheduled at the end of the season.
All out-of-District candidates selected for employment must satisfactorily complete screening tests for illegal drug use prior to the District presenting a final offer of employment. The position also requires ODE fingerprint clearance.
