This position is funded by State Compensatory Education funds. The Intervention Teacher is a highly qualified, state certified teacher who is responsible for delivering academic intervention beyond the General Education classroom to At-Risk students in both Synchronous and Asynchronous environments to reduce the disparity in academic performance on State assessment instrument administered under Subchapter B, Chapter 39 TEC in Math and Reading and to reduce the disparity in the rates of high school completion between students at risk of dropping out of school and all other LEA students.

This is a full-time REMOTE position.Abilityto work independently, typically 40+ hours per week isrequired Ability tomaintaina professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

  • Deliver high quality instruction via live Class Connect sessions according to scheduleestablishedin collaboration with school partners for at-riskstudents;

  • Attend school-based Classroom Sessions to provide collaborative support for at-risk students in the general educationclassroom;

  • Attend regular meetings with the department, school, PLC teams, and MTSS Reviews asneeded;

  • Attend monthly meetings with the Manager or Coordinator to review current data and reviewinstruction;

  • Develop and delivers live session teaching plans designed to bring student skills to grade-level;

  • Apply instructional strategies ondifferentiation;

  • Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance andprogress;

  • Analyze benchmark,checkpointand state assessment data to create instructional plans for interventionsessions;

  • Participate in campus virtual professional development andadditionalprofessional development forInterventionists;

  • Track student progress andprovidesprogress monitoringupdates;

  • Build relationships with assigned students through 1:1 Sessions and phone calls asneeded;

  • Build andmaintaineffective relationships with school administration, staff, students, andfamilies;

  • Maintain recordsregardingstudentsin accordance withschool policy and state requirements; prepare reportsregardingstudents and classroom matters as directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree AND

  • Two (2) years of relevant experience OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills emphasizing tact,patienceand courtesy; ability toestablisha professional, effective rapport with students, staff, and families

  • Ability to adapt learning plans to meetdifferent needsand learning styles; create an instructional and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Demonstrates use of good judgment in decision-making

  • Very strongorganizational and time management skills

  • Customerservice orientation

  • Understanding of applicable sections of the State Education Code and other pertinent regulations

  • Willingness and ability to obtainadditionallicensing asrequired

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to attend meetings, professional development, etc.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel,Wordand Outlook; General webproficiencyand ability to learn new applications quickly

  • Ability to clear required background check

Certificates and LicensesArkansas Department of Education Middle School English Teaching Certification Required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Experienceteachingat-riskstudents;

  • Experience supporting adults and children in the use oftechnology;

  • Special educationendorsement;

  • Proficient in principles, theories, practices,methodsand techniques used in curriculum development and classroom instruction for at-riskstudents;

  • Experience teaching in both online and in a brick-and-mortarenvironments;

  • Reading Academy Completion or willingness to complete ifneeded;

  • Proventrack recordof increasing student performance with students identified as EmergentBilingual;

  • Proventrack recordof increasing student performance in Math and/or Reading LanguageArts;

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment

Compensation & Benefits Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

  • We anticipate the salary range to be $45,000-$50,000. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
