Mid-Weight Graphic Designer

Salary £38,000 per annum, plus company benefits

Address Canary Wharf, London E14

Contract Permanent, full time

Hours 37.5 hours per week

Shifts 8-hour shifts Mon-Fri between 8am-6pm with a 30-min unpaid lunch

Work outside these hours may occasionally be required.

Work model Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote)

The Role

We’re looking for a Mid-Weight Graphic Designer to join our Creative and Presentations team in Canary Wharf. This is a great opportunity for someone with 5+ years of commercial experience and a strong background in motion graphics, video and high-end Presentations pitch work

You’ll take a key role in delivering high‑quality creative work across motion graphics, video, digital and print whilst driving the ideation process by developing strong creative concepts and shaping the direction of projects. You’ll be the spark behind big ideas, and be able to translate abstract thinking into clear, inspiring creative routes that push boundaries and excite our clients.

This role calls for someone who thrives on concepting, loves exploring multiple directions, and can articulate the “why” behind their ideas with confidence and clarity. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, copywriters, and stakeholders to ensure every concept is both imaginative and purposeful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the ideation process by generating strong creative concepts, exploring multiple directions, and shaping the visual and conceptual approach for campaigns and projects
  • Create engaging motion graphics and animations that bring concepts to life using After Effects and/or Premiere Pro
  • Produce high‑quality visual assets for digital channels, presentations, reports, campaigns, and internal communications
  • Prepare artwork for digital and print production with strong attention to detail.
  • Manage your time effectively across multiple tasks and deadlines and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Develop clear, impactful storyboards that bring briefs to life and guide motion graphics, animation, and video execution
  • Confidence managing projects independently and taking ownership of creative output
  • An interest in accessibility‑led design and a commitment to creating work that’s clear, usable, and inclusive

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a designer with sharp conceptual instincts - someone who thrives on ideation, loves exploring multiple creative directions, and can turn abstract thinking into clear, compelling routes that set projects apart. You’ll bring 5+ years of commercial experience, a strong grounding in motion graphics and video, and the ability to articulate the thinking behind your ideas with confidence and clarity.

We want someone who pushes boundaries, contributes original thinking, and collaborates seamlessly with designers, copywriters, and stakeholders to shape work that’s imaginative, purposeful, and beautifully executed across motion, digital, and print. As a member of the team, you’ll contribute to a wide range of creative projects and play a part in a positive, collaborative culture where everyone shares knowledge and helps each other do their best work.

  • Strong motion graphics and video‑editing skills, with the ability to craft dynamic, engaging animated content
  • A portfolio demonstrating high‑quality work that is well thought out across motion, print and digital
  • Strong experience in digital and print design within a corporate or brand‑led environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing polished, accurate work
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to interpret data and present it clearly
  • Confidence managing projects independently and taking ownership of creative output
  • Working knowledge of UX/UI best practices, including wireframing, responsive design, and accessibility considerations
  • Some experience using tools such as Figma or Adobe XD to create digital layouts or simple prototypes would be an advantage
  • Display a willingness to learn more about inclusive design and incorporate accessibility considerations
