There are more than 200 systems and applications where all bank products, business processes, channels, and data are created and maintained by Product & Technology Development department in SEB Baltics.

Supervisory Reporting team is a part of Finance, Risk and Data Tribe in SEB Baltics which currently holds ~100 professionals organized in 10 teams across all three Baltic States. Tribe is owning, developing and maintaining Data Warehouse as a platform for comprehensive organization’s data collection, transformation, governance, financial and risks reporting, and data exchange with Global SEB SE platforms, central banks and other institutions.

We are looking for a talented, technology savvy and data driven reporting engineer, to join our highly skilled agile team working on design and end-to-end delivery of reporting solutions. This is a broad competence role with a mixture of developer and analyst competences and skills needed to work with vast amounts and complexity of data, various technologies as WPS (SAS), Python, Sybase IQ, PostgreSQL, Apache Airflow, GitHub, Jira, and to contribute to all phases of the development process.

As a Reporting Data Engineer, you will:

  • Analyze regulatory reporting requirements and assess impact on existing solutions.
  • Implement data calculations and mappings from large datasets in data warehouse.
  • Cover reporting automation and reconciliation needs.
  • Organize deployment and testing activities to ensure the reliability and performance of reporting solutions.
  • Document E2E solutions in a structured and understandable way.
  • Continuously enhance capabilities of reporting platform to support evolving business requirements.
  • Work with team and solution architects to solve technical complexities and to find efficient solutions.
  • Make ad-hoc data analysis, interpret data and explain findings for stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in team agile routines, adhere to priorities set by product owner, cooperate with team members, and contribute to the sprint goal.
  • Provide proposals and improvement ideas to product owner/delivery team lead.
  • Stay updated with global developments and trends in data engineering, incorporate best practices and evolving technological improvements into our processes.

You will be the right fit if you have:

  • 3+ years practice implementing E2E reporting solutions (candidates must have experience specifically in developing reporting solutions, preferably within IT part of organization).
  • Experience working with relational databases, large amounts of data assessing data quality and creating transformations.
  • PL SQL/MS SQL, SAS/WPS or Python experience in developing reporting solutions.
  • Analytical skills, solution-oriented mindset, and attention to detail.
  • A sense of responsibility and positive attitude to problem solving.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • University degree (IT, finance, economics).
  • Understanding of banking business, products, processes, and familiarity with various finance or risk data definitions would be a big advantage.
