Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level or Senior Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist to support the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Home Office Master Production Scheduling (MPS), team in developing and documenting process and system improvements for current and future system architectures. The position reports to the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Home Office Master Production Scheduling (MPS) Senior Manager.

The position will facilitate and lead a diverse team of users from all Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) sites and programs who currently use or are planned to use the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Common Business Systems. This individual will also be responsible for training and developing the team's technical expertise and will serve as a subject matter expert on policies, processes, plans, and objectives.

The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities, with the capacity to interface effectively with multiple levels of leadership. Flexibility, initiative, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and a willingness to learn new areas are essential to succeed in this dynamic and exciting environment.

General Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Systems, Applications, and Products (SAP) and Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) functional users to develop future-state business processes and system requirements for Interorganizational Work Authorization (IWA) and sales order management. Support end-to-end testing scenarios while documenting results and necessary changes.
  • Serve as the Interorganizational Work Authorization (IWA) and Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) Home Office Subject Matter Expert (SME) by understanding the Interorganizational Work Authorization (IWA) lifecycle and providing user support for Boeing Recurring and Independent Demand Schedule System (BRAIDSS) and Compass contract workflows, including order management and issue resolution.
  • Use data analytics to collect, clean, and validate scheduling data from various sources to ensure consistent planning and reporting outputs.
  • Assess and implement process improvements to enhance schedule simulations and forecasting accuracy.

Position Responsibilities – Experienced Level 3

  • Independently develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains an integrated plan and schedule to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards
  • Performs studies, analysis (trend, variance, impact), risk assessments to determine impacts, and constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives
  • Creates schedule, reports, metrics, change activity, communicates and updates plan regularly throughout lifecycle of program or project
  • Works to improve project management processes, business systems, and implement best practices that support project decision makers
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
  • Assists customers to develop performance recovery plan and ensure all project control systems are in place to support ongoing support to stakeholders

Position Responsibilities – Senior Level 4

  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs and change driven activities in accordance with project management industry
  • Leads studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), reports, risk assessments and planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case
  • Develops and establishes lead time requirements
  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry
  • Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion
  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience in Program Planning, Project Management, Integrated Scheduling, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Operations, and/or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years of experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives.
  • 2+ years of experience working with and manipulating large data sets to clean, transform, and produce standardized outputs for business tools or reporting.
  • 1+ year of experience using Integrated Scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Open Plan Professional, Primavera, etc.
  • 1+ year of experience working with Microsoft Office Applications.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Basic knowledge of production scheduling methodology and/or Boeing Recurring and Independent Demand Schedule System (BRAIDSS), including the Interorganizational Work Authorization (IWA) process, or the ability to quickly learn these processes.
  • Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) demand planning systems.
  • Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation projects, including designing test scenarios, conducting integration testing, and documenting system acceptance criteria for order flows and scheduling data.
  • Experience querying and analyzing backend data sources (e.g., Structured Query Language (SQL) or Telephone-Oriented Attack Delivery (TOAD) to collect system data and understand table relationships.
  • Experience creating dashboards and visualizations using Power Business Intelligence (Power BI), Tableau, or Excel PowerPivot, and presenting findings to leadership.
  • Some experience with Manufacturing Execution Software and/or Manufacturing Execution System, Common Image (MESci).

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.

Senior Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.
