The Mid FinOps Analyst supports cloud financial operations by providing visibility into cloud spend, assisting with cost optimization efforts, and delivering accurate reporting and analysis. This role partners with engineering, finance, and business teams to help improve cost transparency and support informed decision-making. The position contributes to building and scaling FinOps practices across the organization.
Cloud Spend Analysis & Reporting: Monitor and analyze cloud usage and costs, and develop reports and dashboards to provide visibility to stakeholders;
Cost Optimization Support: Identify cost-saving opportunities and support implementation of optimization initiatives in partnership with engineering teams;
Financial Planning Support: Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis for cloud spend using historical data and trends;
Governance & Tagging Support: Support tagging compliance efforts and cost allocation processes to improve financial visibility and accountability;
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, finance, and product teams to support FinOps processes and improve cost awareness.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field
Experience with cloud platforms and cost management tools
Strong analytical and data visualization skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar)
Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud billing models
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
