Mid Design Structural Engineer
We are currently looking for a Mid Design Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zagreb, Croatia for a 2 years fixed term contract with a possibility of permanent employment!
Mid Design Structural Engineer develops design of structural project documentation to satisfy all required inputs and requirements and to produce safe, reliable, functional, and economical structure. Mid structural engineers develop structural design of modular steel structures of low to medium complexity as a project lead structural engineer. Mid Structural Engineer works on structural calculations, steel structure workshop documentation, lifting and transport drawings, anchoring layouts, technical specifications, while developing new skills and knowledge through internal and external education.
What kind of work will you be doing?
- Developing of project conceptual and detailed design as Lead Structural Engineer on low to medium complexity projects or as a support to Lead Structural Engineer on high complexity projects
- Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of structural project documentation: static calculations, dynamic calculations, structural 3D model design, detail drawings, descriptions, instructions, material submittals, presentations, and marketing materials
- During design follow and take into consideration international, national and company standards and good engineering practices
- Participating in kick-off meetings, regular project team meetings, and on-site coordination meetings
- Proactive cooperation with all team members during project execution
- Creating Request for Information (RFI) in cases where additional clarification is needed
- Development of defined documents according to Document List (DLIST)
- Development of workshop documentation
- Verification of workshop documentation developed by subcontractors
- Specifying Bill of Material and services required for project execution
- Specification of necessary certificates for materials needed to be ordered
- Supporting suppliers with additional information during bidding phase of sourcing (offer submitting)
- Providing technical approval for received supplier offers
- Providing technical support to subcontractors and installers during production/assembly
- Cooperation with Manufacturing and Site deployment engineering team
- Cooperation with Site Manager during assembly, providing technical solutions to raised issues
- Cooperation with Quality Control during quality control of components/systems and assembly on Site
- Cooperation with Commissioning engineer on testing documentation development
- Participation in internal testing and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Participation as a design engineer in Vertiv R&D projects as a supporting engineer
- Managing and coordinating work of other structural engineering team members as Lead Structural Engineer on low to medium complexity projects
Qualifications:
- Master of Structural Engineering
- Structural Engineer with minimum 2-5 years of experience in Structural Engineering Design
- Software – Tekla, Revit, AutoCAD, Robot, SCIA Engineer, IDEA StatiCa, MS Office, Anchoring design software - intermediate to expert skills
- Other skills – independent, managing and coordinating project, attention to details, problem solving, organization, creativity, teamwork
- English B2 level
