  • Design and implement ingestion solutions using Fabric Data Factory, Fabric Pipelines, and Spark Notebooks with a focus on reliability and auditability.
  • Perform schema mapping, data type reconciliation, row-count validation, and data quality checks throughout the migration lifecycle.
  • Optimize Fabric workloads, Spark jobs, and query performance to ensure scalable and production-ready solutions.
  • Collaborate with technical leads, DevOps engineers, report developers, and client stakeholders while participating in standups, reviews, and technical walkthroughs.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps, Azure security best practices, GitHub Copilot, Azure AI Services, and other AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and maintain platform standards.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in Data Engineering within production or client delivery environments.
  • Strong T-SQL expertise, including complex queries, joins, window functions, CTEs, stored procedures, and SQL Server/Azure SQL architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark, DataFrames, distributed processing, and transformation development.
  • Direct experience with Microsoft Fabric (professional, lab, or personal project experience that can be demonstrated).
  • Understanding of Medallion Architecture and modern Lakehouse design principles.
  • Strong data validation and reconciliation practices, including row counts, null handling, type validation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Professional English communication skills and the ability to work effectively within structured delivery teams.
  • Active use of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Azure AI Services, or LLM-assisted workflows to improve productivity and delivery outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), including pipelines, triggers, linked services, and data flows.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) for source control, deployment automation, and release management.
  • Background in data migration or modernization projects involving legacy-to-cloud transformations.
  • Familiarity with retail, consumer products, specialty retail, or CPG data environments.
  • Experience working within consulting, MSP, agency, or multi-client delivery organizations.
  • Python scripting experience beyond PySpark for automation and data profiling.
  • Microsoft certifications such as DP-203 (Data Engineering on Azure) or DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer).
  • Knowledge of data governance, PII handling, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, access controls, and compliance-related practices.
