Microsoft Adoption & Change Management Consultant
Location: This is a hybrid position based in Calgary, Alberta. The role requires regular in-person work at the client’s downtown Calgary office. Travel time to other client sites may vary depending on the engagement and location.

About the role
We’re seeking a Microsoft 365 Adoption & Change Management Consultant to join Insight Canada’s Adoption & Change Management team and collaborate closely with our Modern Workplace specialists. You will help clients prepare their people for technology-enabled change and achieve sustained adoption of solutions such as Microsoft Copilot, Purview, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and other Microsoft 365 applications. Working across multiple client engagements, you will translate technical changes into clear user impacts, lead discovery and stakeholder activities, develop adoption and communications plans, create learning content, and facilitate user enablement sessions. Projects may include cloud migrations, Copilot deployments, SharePoint information architecture initiatives, and security or compliance programs.
As a Consultant II on a SharePoint Migration project you will:
Develop and execute organizational change management strategies and plans aligned with the SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams migration approach and project objectives
Lead stakeholder discovery, analysis, and engagement activities to understand business needs, change impacts, readiness, risks, and adoption barriers across departments and migration waves
Conduct change impact and organizational readiness assessments, identify gaps, and recommend actions to prepare stakeholder groups for migration and new ways of workingDevelop and execute a communications and training strategy, including stakeholder-targeted communications aligned to each stage of the ADKAR change model
Build trusted relationships with sponsors, leaders, department representatives, site owners, content owners, support teams, and end users, and help leaders fulfill their role in supporting the change
Facilitate virtual and in-person workshops, interviews, readiness discussions, executive briefings, validation sessions, and other stakeholder working sessions
Define adoption objectives, readiness criteria, success measures, and feedback mechanisms, and use available readiness, sentiment, training, and adoption indicators to refine the change approach
Design SharePoint and Teams training materials including slide decks, speaker notes, demo scripts, and adjust for unique departmental needs. Leverage this content for other audiences such as a Train-the-Trainer program, Service Desk readiness resources, etc. Partner with the Communications & Deployment Coordinator to align leadership messaging, awareness, readiness, migration wave, training, and reinforcement communications with stakeholder impacts and project milestones
Partner with the SharePoint & Microsoft Teams Trainer and eLearning Content Creator & Instructional Designer to identify audience needs, validate learning objectives, and support role-based enablement and reinforcement activities
Manage assigned OCM deliverables, timelines, risks, dependencies, approvals, and client communications while collaborating with project management, business analysis, technical delivery, and other project resources
Establish adoption metrics and provide ongoing reporting on communications, training, readiness, and adoption outcomes

What we’re looking for
Core requirements:
You have experience in client-facing consulting, adoption and change management, or a related field
You have a strong working knowledge of most M365 applications, in particular M365 Copilot
You’re comfortable leading workshops, presenting to a range of audiences, and building trusted client relationships
You can independently manage deliverables, priorities, and deadlines across multiple client projects
You have experience creating polished, audience-focused communications, presentations, and learning materials
You can translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical messages that connect technology with business and user needs
You have strong organization, prioritization, writing, and verbal communication skills
You’re willing and able to work at client locations and travel based on the needs of each engagement
Standout candidates for the SharePoint Migration project will also bring:
You have experience supporting SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams migrations, modern collaboration programs, or transitions from network drives and email-based file sharing to cloud collaboration
You understand SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams concepts, including department sites, document libraries, site and content ownership, permissions, governance, and collaborative file management
You have supported large-scale, multi-department or wave-based technology deployments and can adapt change activities to different stakeholder groups, levels of readiness, and migration schedules
You have experience conducting change impact and readiness assessments, supporting sponsors and business leaders, managing resistance, and measuring adoption and user sentiment
You have worked in a consulting or highly governed enterprise environment and can translate technical, information management, and governance decisions into clear, practical guidance for business users
