About the role

The Microbiome Manager leads and manages the Lifeblood Microbiome Operations team in the Perth Processing Centre to support the efficient, sufficient, and timely supply of safe Faecal Microbiota Transplants within a service excellence culture.

This role is also responsible for the planning and decision making required across Collection and Production activities to ensure inventory sufficiency in accordance with demand forecasts to meet the needs of Australian patients. Problem solving of a complex nature is required to manage daily ad hoc situations and partnering with appropriate experts to provide solutions accordingly.

You will have the opportunity to work with donors through to external clinicians and provide input into new product development.

You will also ensure all operational activities are safe, productive and compliant and be adaptable to changing circumstances and role requirements.

  • Proven ability to apply expertise to identify, assess and overcome issues and resolve problems proactively
  • Possess excellent problem solving and influencing skills with a willingness to challenge existing practices
  • Able to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality, safety and sufficiency
  • Ability to analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative data, understand the drivers; develop and implement strategies in order to meet performance and productivity requirements
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with Agile and/or Lean methodologies
  • Understanding of relevant regulatory standards such as Human Tissue Act/ TGO-105/cGMP
  • Experience with managing processes under TGA Special Access Schemes
