At BioTechnique, it’s about more than just a job—it’s about your career and your future. Your Role We are hiring a motivated Microbiology Technician Level II/III to join our team! The Microbiology Technician II/III is responsible for performing microbiological testing and laboratory operations in a GMP-regulated environment. The successful candidate will possess strong microbiological laboratory skills, experience following protocols and GDP requirements, and some experience executing disinfectant efficacy testing (DET). This is a temporary six-month position with the schedule of Friday – Sunday (12 hour shifts), with the potential for conversion to a full-time employee (FTE). Execute microbiological testing activities in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements. Perform disinfectant efficacy testing (DET) and related microbiological assays. Conduct environmental monitoring and microbial identification activities as required. Review and accurately complete laboratory documentation in compliance with GDP standards. Investigate laboratory deviations and support corrective and preventive action activities. Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and controlled environments. Assist with method execution, protocol adherence, and troubleshooting laboratory issues. Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives. Train and mentor junior laboratory staff as appropriate. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field. Level II: 2+ years of microbiology laboratory experience. Level III: 3+ years of microbiology laboratory experience. Experience executing Disinfectant Efficacy Testing (DET) preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in microbiological techniques and aseptic practices. Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of GDP and laboratory documentation requirements. Ability to follow detailed protocols and work independently. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. No C2C at this time.
