This is where YOU fit in: Navy Exchange-NAS Lemoore is in need of a Micro Market Associate to answer the call; a team player who is dedicated to supporting our local Naval community, and operational successes on a day-to-day basis. You will perform a variety of tasks which involve stocking Micro Markets and assisting customer’s onboard NAS Lemoore. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer – our Military patrons and their families.


So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?

oMaintains Exchange owned Micro markets daily, performing inspections and replenishing products.

oGreets and engages with customers in selection of merchandise.

oCollects money from vending machines, micro market kiosks or other miscellaneous machines.

oTurn-in money bags daily from Cash Handling Clerks after counting and verifying cash receipts.

oOperates motor vehicle in the performance of the duties.

The Qualifiers:

oMust be a U.S. Citizen

oMust possess a valid state driver’s license and pass a pre-employment criminal & motor vehicle

obackground check. (e.g. Federal, DOD, Security Clearance)

oMust possess the knowledge and skills necessary to perform job duties.

oMust pass the GSA defensive driving course.

PHYSICAL EFFORT Regularly lifts and transports moderately heavy objects weighing up to 40 lbs. occasionally handles heavier items with assistance or with material handling equipment. Regular walking bending and reaching are required. 

WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed both inside and outside. Incumbent is occasionally exposed to bad weather conditions while loading and unloading vehicle. Drives in all types of bad weather and is subject to cuts or bruises. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

1. Must possess a valid state driver s license or a valid commercial driver s license CDL .

2. Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle safely.

 3. Must be able to pass appropriate background checks needed for the specific area of responsibility e.g. Federal DOD Security Clearance etc. .

4. Pass the GSA defensive driving course

GENERAL EXPERIENCE One-year progressive responsible clerical office or retail sales work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to interact with customers.

OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR GENERAL EXPERIENCE Half-year of academic study above the high school level may be substituted for each 6 months of general experience requirement.

AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE One year of progressively responsible experience that provides the applicant with knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of retail to include retail sales services vending store operations and warehouse etc.

The Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) Enterprise encompasses six business lines, boasting a workforce of more than 14,000 associates located around the globe. The command’s mission is to provide quality goods and services at a savings and support Navy quality of life programs for active duty military, retirees, reservists, veterans, Department of Defense civilians and families. The NEXCOM Enterprise is a non-appropriated fund instrumentality (NAFI) of the Department of Defense and the Department of the Navy.
