Job Description

The MICE Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) segments. The role focuses on developing strategic relationships, generating new business, managing key accounts, and maximizing hotel revenue in line with IHG brand standards and commercial strategies

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

1. Business Development

  • Identify, target, and secure new MICE accounts locally and internationally.
  • Develop and execute a MICE sales action plan aligned with the hotel’s commercial strategy.
  • Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and client presentations.
  • Participate in trade shows, roadshows, and networking events to promote the hotel.

2. Revenue Generation & Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly and annual MICE revenue targets (rooms, banquet, and ancillary revenue).
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing within approved guidelines.
  • Maximize conversion rates from inquiry to confirmed business.
  • Upsell additional services including F&B, AV, branding, and accommodation packages.

3. Account Management

  • Build strong relationships with event planners, corporates, PCOs (Professional Conference Organizers), and DMCs.
  • Maintain regular follow-up with existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.

4. Coordination & Event Execution

  • Collaborate with Operations, Banquet, and Events teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Ensure accurate and timely handover of confirmed business to the Events team.
  • Monitor event details to ensure compliance with brand standards.

5. Reporting & Market Intelligence

  • Maintain updated client database and sales activity reports.
  • Monitor competitors’ MICE strategies and market trends.
  • Provide weekly/monthly sales forecasts and pipeline updates.
  • Utilize IHG systems (Delphi/Fidelio/Salesforce if applicable) efficiently.

What we need from you

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in hotel sales, preferably MICE segment.
  • Experience within international hotel chains preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent command of English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Strong network within corporate and event planning industry
