Position Summary

The University of New Mexico College of Fine Arts (CFA) is a vibrant community of artists, scholars, educators, and creative professionals spanning the departments of Art, Film & Digital Arts, Music, and Theatre & Dance; interdisciplinary arts programs; the UNM Art Museum; and Tamarind Institute. Together, these areas advance the College’s mission through education, creative practice, research, exhibitions, performances, and engagement with communities across New Mexico and beyond. The Center for Collaborative Arts and Technology (CCAT) builds upon these strengths by creating a shared environment where artistic disciplines, emerging technologies, and new forms of collaboration come together through teaching, creative work, and public programming.

The CCAT Venue Operations Manager provides leadership and coordination for the day-to-day operations and use of this complex, multi-purpose facility. The position manages building-wide scheduling and space utilization; coordinates the logistical and operational needs of events, performances, exhibitions, meetings, and other activities; and serves as a primary liaison among College leadership, departments, University service providers, event organizers, vendors, contractors, and community partners. The manager develops and implements facility-use procedures, coordinates building access and security needs, supports facility rentals and revenue-generating activities, oversees shared resources, and facilitates ticketing, event services, and public-facing operations. The position also contributes to space planning, facility improvements, emergency preparedness, event promotion and communications, and the collection of facility-use and attendance data. Through these responsibilities, the manager ensures CCAT’s shared spaces and resources are coordinated effectively while partnering with individual departments and programs on the specialized technical and programmatic needs of their respective spaces.
