Job Description

  • In charge of daily Securities Settlement processing for Local and Foreign markets and foreign currency conversion
  • Pro-actively work with operations team to ensure trade are settled correctly meeting SLA and cut off time and market holidays and investigate, resolve any exceptions that arise to ensure no fail trades
  • Attend to client’s problems and issues offering solutions and escalating to management which include custody billing and fees quotations and new market and asset to support
  • Review and handle existing and new custody agreement and any amendments like fee structure and new clauses to safeguard bank’s interest
  • Prepare statistics and management report on trade operations to cope with extra or unpredictable market patterns or metrics
  • Identify process improvement and streamline for better efficiency and so save cost at all times
  • Resolve any technical or operations issue promptly with business and technology team
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policy, operational risk and audit
  • Perform team capacity planning and guide and train junior team members undefined

Requirements

  • Minimum degree qualifications in Banking and Finance, Economics industry
  • Preferred experience of 5-6 years
  • Experienced and knowledge in Global Market/Global Custodian specifically in Custody Operations and Securities Settlement practices
  • Familiar and exposed to Bursa Operational process and payment system like SWIFT and RENTAS
  • Possess broad and in-depth knowledge of Malaysian Capital Market structure and requirements and is familiar with generally acceptable best practices in compliance and risk management
  • Experience in managing a team preferred. Passionate and has pleasant personality with strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, self-starter with strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Good writing and presentation skills
