Barnes Aerospace has a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for Planning Manager. The ideal candidate will partner with site leaders and will act as a subject matter expert in SIOP and Planning. He/she will develop and manage the materials planning function for goods and materials; creating competitive environments, and managing the delivery of optimal solutions. This is a newly added role and will manage both Sing OEM and Malaysia.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Plan and direct all resources and activities associated with production scheduling and planning, to achieve required business results. Forecast intra-company needs in coordination with production planning, utilizing the appropriate material requirements planning systems/programs and lean practices.
  • Manage Value Streams along with operations and engineering to ensure capacity matches requirements availability and order placement, identification and management of outside service providers, logistics coordination, and on-time starts.
  • Formulate build plan based on load capacity analysis.
  • Own end-to-end SIOP process to manage change customer signals with operational Master Production Schedule to create One Plan for the site
  • Lead team of planners to ensure on-time release of work orders, monitor, measure, and address gaps with applicable parties to achieve divisional goals and 100% on-time delivery to the end customer.
  • Manage the monitoring, tracking and expediting for OV deliveries to support build plan working with related parties of procurement and Engineering.
  • Develop and lead an engaged and motivated planning organization through the employment of highly skilled planning professionals, employee development, training plans, and effective and timely performance assessments.
  • Formulate and support cost reduction goals and initiatives.
  • Manage critical inventory processes such as cycle counting, planning parameters, capacity analysis and demand planning processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and quality assurance, to identify or qualify new suppliers.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance and implement corrective action when required to meet customer demand.
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Five to ten years of related Operations Planning / SCM experience in a to-order manufacturing, OEM, aerospace environment.
  • Demonstrated progressive career development with increasing responsibilities, with an emphasis in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of production flow, inventory flow, and documentation procedures.
  • Strong business/financial acumen, proficient in leading and setting direction for teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent growth leadership skills demonstrating clear global perspective and understand factors impacting Aerospace businesses and our suppliers.
  • Ability to organize time effectively to satisfactorily complete assigned tasks and functions. This includes planning of workflow and meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Excellent computer skills with an emphasis in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate Business or Technical discipline is required.
  • APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification is a plus.
