Job Description

The Manager Scrum Delivery Lead role is primarily responsible for enabling Scrum Master excellence by ensuring the appropriate capable talent and optimisation of SAFe and Scrum processes and practice. This individual will be leading Scrum Masters within a Portfolio to drive value by aligning people, process and tools to maintain a cohesive SM practice within the Portfolio.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Talent Enablement – Manage Scrum Master team members to ensure talent needs of pods and product teams are met.

  • Acts as direct line manager enabling a group of up to 12 Scrum Masters working in coordination with Pod members to deliver value to customers.

  • Foster a healthy team culture that supports humility, respect and trust within and across the teams.

  • Build psychological safety, encourage the team to take risks to innovate, fail fast and learn iteratively.

  • Support the team navigating through ambiguity, identify the trade-offs and build consensus.

  • Coach Scrum Masters to drive best practices and ensure alignment across CME

  • Collaborate with Agile Coaches, Product Managers, Product Owners, Agile Program Leads, Engineering Leads and other stakeholders to define the skills and resources required to meet deliverables and identify/hire team members that fit these requirements.

  • Solicit and share feedback between stakeholders and team members.

  • Ensure that Scrum Masters have the capability and motivation to deliver.

  • Work with team members to align their personal career development with business objectives and identify opportunities and activities that they can utilize to grow their contributions and careers.

  • Process Enablement – Accountable for the design and implementation of process solutions that empower the team to solve problems and maximize flow.

  • Act as a Scrum Master as needed

Skills & Software Requirements:

  • Proven expertise as a Scrum Master in the financial industry with a focus on SAFe and Scrum practices.

  • Existing people leadership experience a plus

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team across various locations

  • Strong knowledge of various organizational and facilitation tools

  • Familiarity with CME Group Application Ecosystem
