Cultivates a safe work environment for employees. Oversees the maintenance and repair of plant equipment and facilities including maintenance planning and scheduling processes. Manages a location or segment of a larger department. Implements business objectives, strategies and plans while managing daily work functions and supporting company programs and policies. Partners with plant Engineering and Operations Staff to implement strategic initiatives and processes.
Demonstrated track record providing front-line and senior level Maintenance Leadership for a large Coal / Gas power plant.Familiarity and usage of plant DCS controls and other control systems to diagnose problems and conduct root cause analysis of failures.Working knowledge of PI software including analytics and trending tools.Technical knowledge and problem solving skills for maintenance of equipment used in power generation.Ability to understand and implement preventative maintenance systems, predictive maintenance systems, precision maintenance and practices.Working knowledge and demonstrated experience successfully leading large, multi-craft staff and contract maintenance teams delivering cost effective plant maintenance utilizing a Condition Based Maintenance Program.Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling.Must have favorable driving record.

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and requires manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion as well as the use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.Employee may potentially be exposed to hazardous chemicals, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather, noisy and dusty environment. The ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events is required.After hours work is required during plant overhauls, deratings or outages.
