AltaLink is recruiting for the position of Manager, Financial Reporting. We are seeking a results oriented, collaborative, ambitious individual to join our team. A strong leader who excels as both a team player and individual contributor, you are passionate about working in a dynamic, fast-paced organization that is striving to develop people through a broad range of experiences. Reporting directly to the Director, Corporate Accounting and Reporting, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant external financial reporting, including consolidated financial statements and Management’s Discussion and Analysis. You will also be responsible for preparing complete, accurate and timely financial information, financial analysis, and management reporting for AltaLink, its owner and managers. You will be expected to develop effective working relationships with diverse groups within AltaLink, its affiliates, and its owner, and provide them with analysis and support, as well as interpretation of critical accounting issues. You possess a professional accounting designation with at least ten years of progressive, related financial reporting experience. To be successful in this position, you will have an excellent knowledge of public company financial reporting requirements, including IFRS® Accounting Standards and U.S. GAAP, and prior financial reporting experience at a management level and experience in consolidation and implementing new accounting standards. You are able to communicate effectively, and you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. It would be an asset if you have utility accounting experience, particularly in the transmission industry, and experience with utility regulatory accounting.
