Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, Production, the Entertainment Manager oversees the day-to-day hospitality and guest operations of the venue, ensuring a seamless experience for performing artists, associated personnel, and guests. This includes coordinating hospitality riders, hotel accommodations, dressing room requirements, and food and beverage services, as well as supporting guest entry, crowd flow, and other guest or artist facing activations. The role schedules and leads Entertainment Coordinators, coordinates event security, facilitates venue set-up and tear-down of non-technical elements, and ensures seamless execution of show-related activities, including VIP experiences, merchandise, and applicable night-of-show settlements. The Entertainment Manager upholds company policies, licensing, and safety regulations while fostering a professional, service-focused environment for all team members. This position will involve working at both River Rock Casino Resort and Great Canadian Casino Vancouver locations.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end artist hospitality, including advancing and executing hospitality riders, hotel accommodations, and food and beverage requirements.
  • Promote and upsell River Rock Casino Resort and Great Canadian Casino Vancouver to prospective rental clients, conduct site visits, provide timely and accurate rental information in a polite manner reflecting the highest standards of professional service.
  • Schedule, supervise, and support Entertainment Coordinators, providing clear direction and ensuring consistent service standards.
  • Coordinate event security requirements in partnership with internal teams to ensure a safe and well-managed event.
  • Manage and support execution for artist/event related activities on show days, including VIP experiences, merchandise operations, and night-of-show settlements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Production, Hotel, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Support front-of-house operations, ensuring efficient guest entry, crowd flow, and a high-quality ticket holder experience.
  • Respond to venue-related inquiries and maintain strong working relationships with artists, promoters, guests, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor and uphold company policies, procedures, and service standards across all areas of responsibility.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the guest and artist experience, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Education and Qualification Requirements:

  • Post Secondary education or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the entertainment industry; minimum 2 years management experience
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification
  • Ability to obtain criminal background check
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office

Work Environment Considerations:

• Regular office and theatre environments, standing for long periods of time, non-traditional work hours, some travel may be required.
