The DDSM Manager will oversee and assist the DDSM dispute clerks (4), inbound demurrage clerk (1) accounts payable clerk (1) and company wide floater (2). The manager will assist staff with dispute inquiries as needed as well as resolve escalated issues across all desks. The manager will monitor dispute team’s productivity and reallocate workload as appropriate. It is the responsibility of the manager to ensure that the dispute team is trained on current processes and systems to perform their tasks efficiently.

Functions & Duties
• Manage all functions of DDSM Disputes & Collections.
• Serve as first point of contact for DDSM dispute clerks, inbound demurrage clerk and accounts payable clerk when questions arise during their workday.
• Ongoing review of staff productivity, offer recommendation, guidance, support and assistance.
• Review and research DDSM dispute team’s escalated disputes to ensure resolution is reached.
• Facilitate communication with internal teams to help resolve issues on inbound demurrage and accounts payable desks.
• Responsible for Time in Lieu (TIL) logging, research, mitigations and pay outs in a timely manner.
• Help drive collections efforts by prioritizing disputes accordingly and ensuring mitigations are processed timely and accurately.
• Responsible for OCU training and system access i.e., ensuring OCU is trained and adheres to corporate policies and has appropriate system access.
• Responsible for OCU Admin i.e., ensuring we have sufficient coverage across all OCU desks daily. Approve time worked, TIL logging and research.
• Work on Ad Hoc projects as assigned by management.

At American President Lines, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The expected salary range for this position is $83,000 - $106,000 per year. The actual salary offered will be based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for:
