Summary:
The MFS Manager plays a pivotal role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making within the Telecel Cash Function at Telecel Ghana. Reporting to the Financial Operations Head under the CFO, this position serves as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all financial matters across consumer business units, acting as a strategic partner in shaping commercial outcomes. The role demands full ownership of financial planning, forecasting, performance analytics, and business intelligence, ensuring accurate, timely, and actionable insights across all product lines and segments. With responsibility for P&L management, budgeting, incentive planning, data integrity, and cross-functional collaboration, the MFS Manager ensures alignment with business objectives while driving operational efficiency, cost control, and revenue optimization. The position is central to enabling data-driven decisions, competitive responsiveness, and sustainable growth within a dynamic telecoms environment.
Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end business performance reporting across all product lines and segments, delivering insights and actionable recommendations.
Design and implement standardized templates and KPIs for daily, weekly, and monthly revenue performance tracking by product and segment.
Lead business logic definition and Consumer Management Information Reporting for key function analysis.
Drive business intelligence initiatives to inform the allocation of consumer targets across segments, products, and regions.
Monitor and manage KPI performance, identifying intervention points and ensuring reporting alignment.
Manage Consumer P&L, including variance analysis and strategic recommendations.
Ensure data quality and integrity through robust deviation detection and quality control mechanisms.
Design and implement rules for quality acquisition and conversion to revenue; continuously monitor and optimize processes.
Enforce compliance with defined commission structures and manage related reporting.
Define and periodically review the MFS team’s Incentive Plan, including measurement criteria and performance targets.
Accountable for managing Consumer OPEX, ensuring proper planning, execution, and booking of expenditures.
Lead the periodic budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with Finance and business units.
Partner with segment and vertical owners to develop and re-forecast operational business plans as needed.
Guide all consumer units through the budget lifecycle—from input to approval.
Serve as the central point of financial expertise and advisory for business units with engineering-focused teams in a matrix environment.
Analyze competitor activities and market developments, proposing proactive strategic countermeasures, including new product initiatives or product adjustments.
