MFO Engineering Lead

Applies subject-matter expert knowledge to lead MFO Quality, Cost, and transformation activities, resolving highly complex business and technical issues within established policies. Holds accountability for large, multi-department operations with significant impact on business results and organizational strategy. Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing policy development and long-term strategic direction.
Plans, manages, and oversees advanced engineering and operational activities, balancing strategic priorities with tactical execution. Leads teams focused on complex operational, tactical, and strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of project development processes. Provides performance feedback, guides execution, and independently resolves complex problems to drive sustained business outcomes.


Responsibilities:

  • Leads MFO manufacturing and engineering operations strategy across multiple complex product lines, ensuring performance in quality, cost, delivery, safety, compliance, inventory, CAPEX, and workforce engagement.
  • Manages senior individual contributors and first-level managers supporting cross-functional business responsibilities.
  • Led project resource planning, including performance management, coaching, development, and ensuring teams have the right tools and processes.
  • Ensures delivery of products and services that meet quality and performance targets; designs and tracks operational performance metrics.
  • Partners with business leaders to influence strategic and operational decisions.
  • Drives continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Oversees strategic manufacturing execution with internal and external partners, leading cross-functional and cross-regional initiatives with global supply chain impact.
  • Leads and supports medium to high-complexity projects at local and global levels, including financial management, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Builds strong stakeholder relationships and proactively manages risks, issues, and delivery timelines.
  • Tracks and reports on manufacturing performance resolve operational issues and defects and mitigate risks.
  • Drives innovation and adoption of new manufacturing technologies, while mentoring engineering teams to promote excellence and innovation.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and engagement capabilities with operations teams and cross-functional partners.
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing management, business operations, technology requirements, and operational strategies; leads departmental communications and employee engagement effectively.
  • Effective Project Manager who provides guidance and coaching to team members to deliver against organizational expectations; accountable for building high-performing, motivated, and engaged teams.
  • Active contributor to the HPMM Leadership Team, working collaboratively with partners under a ONE TEAM approach; role model of HPMM M2030 Culture Values.
  • Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences, including written, verbal, and presentation formats; fluent in English and local languages.
  • Advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, including data analysis and modelling for informed decision-making.
  • Strong project management and project sponsorship capabilities, driving execution accountability and results.
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills, including leading and coordinating teams across multiple geographies.
  • Strong influencing, consulting, and negotiation skills, ensuring strategic alignment between third-party partners and HP on goals and objectives.
  • Excellent business acumen with a strong understanding of HP policies, governance, and operational processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently with strong focus on execution and outcomes.
  • Demonstrated leadership in change management, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • High learning agility, results orientation, and customer-centric mindset.


Education & Experience Recommended:

  • Graduate degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Solutions, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience demonstrating relevant competence. Typically requires 7–10 years of professional experience in operations, engineering, and project management.

outcomes by leading and/or providing subject-matter expertise to functional project teams and actively contributes to cross-functional initiatives.
