Jobübersicht

The Electrical Test Development Technician/Engineer is responsible for developing and building electrical test systems to ensure products meet customer specifications. This includes implementing electrical test program changes into production, calibrating electrical test equipment, interpreting engineering drawings to create circuit test programs using systems such as Dynalab, Cirris, and others, as well as designing and fabricating circuit diagrams and holders required for physical electrical testing. The role is also responsible for determining the components required to perform electrical tests, releasing NPI electrical tests in collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams, and providing production support for electrical test systems and equipment that experience failures during operation.

Stellenanforderungen

Daily Activities

  1. Develop and maintain the various electrical test programs used within the department.
  2. Determine the required components (pins, connectors, cables, etc.) for the fabrication and maintenance of electrical test systems.
  3. Interpret engineering drawings to create electrical test programs.
  4. Release electrical test systems in collaboration with the Quality and Manufacturing departments.
  5. Build electrical test boards and routing fixtures.

Periodic Activities

  1. Implement engineering changes on existing electrical test systems.
  2. Participate in review meetings for new wire harnesses requiring electrical testing.
  3. Strictly comply with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Occasional Activities

  1. Contribute technical expertise to help resolve actions generated to prevent workplace accidents.
  2. Participate in Kaizen (TEOA) continuous improvement events.
  3. Be available for shift changes according to business needs.
  4. Participate in meetings as required (Quality Meetings, PIM 2 meetings, etc.).

Was Sie mitbringen sollten:

Education

  • Technical College Degree or Associate's Degree in a related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Experience

  • Experience in mechanical and electronic industrial environments.

Specific Knowledge

  • SAP.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel.
  • Engineering drawing interpretation.
  • Knowledge of IPC specifications and standards.
  • Dynalab programming.
  • Cirris programming.
  • Development of Hi-Pot electrical tests.
  • Knowledge of electronic components.
