Compensation

We offer market competitive compensation. Starting pay is $12.25 per hour with Career Laddering Opportunities. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Work Schedule:

We are expanding and have the following shift available:

3rd Shift: 10:30 pm- 7:00 am.

About the role

The Molding Set Up- Ensures equipment operation is in conformance with specifications by observation, inspection and making minor repair. Working under close supervision, they solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity while consistently demonstrating Viant’s values and contributing to a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifies equipment malfunctions and repair needs. Makes minor adjustments in coordination with immediate supervisor on daily basis.
  • Install molds in machines as required by schedule.
  • Complies with mold set up procedure SOP 003 whenever working on removal or installation of molds.
  • Follows all company and machine safety guidelines.
  • Maintains parting line cleaning schedule.
  • Checks and writes all required documentation pertaining to set up department (form)
  • Perform other related duties as required by immediate supervisor.
  • Mold Installation and Removal
  • Process Configuration is a plus.
  • Purging & Material Setup

Job Requirements:

Education

High school education or equivalent.

Experience

2 or more years of experience in “injection molding”.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Available to rotate shift, ability to exert Heavy Duty work, preferable bilingual.

Physical Requirements

  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous, day-to-day activities of a primarily productive nature.
  • Moderate lifting (20 lbs.), carrying (10 lbs.), bending, and prolonged sitting.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and material. Intensive handwork.
  • Requires the ability to identify and distinguish colors and shapes.
  • Requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Well-lighted, air-conditioned, indoor laboratory/production setting with adequate ventilation.
