We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical MFE Planning Engineer to join our operations team in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing execution and production planning processes to ensure efficient operations and on-time delivery. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to analyze production data, forecast demand, and implement process improvements that drive operational excellence.

  1. Supervise and follow up on new programs for products, release or relocation of new lines based on QG'S (CDQ0304 Quality Gates, GS0550) or APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) processes to comply with production according to customer requirements.
  2. Design new processes for projects according to increased production capacity, FMEA and control plan to improve the flow of processes in accordance with the specifications required in the PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) provided by QMM.
  3. Supervise internal trial runs to achieve the release of processes, machinery and equipment according to the emerging needs of the plant or customer.
  4. Develop processes to ensure and simplify quality and productivity compliance at a lower cost than today.
  5. Plan the distribution of the VSL production area according to the requirements of the business unit, to meet the quality of the product and the customer's demand.
  6. Manage the investment required (CapEx) and its implementation for new and existing projects.
  7. Plan the technical capacity and flexibility of production lines based on the latest official volume forecast.
  8. Promote safety, health, environmental protection and improvement in energy performance in accordance with the ISO 14001/ ISO 45001/ ISO 50001 standards in their current versions, as well as compliance with the applicable CD03800 and standards.

Requisitos

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, or operations management
  • Proficiency with MFE (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or similar ERP planning modules
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of demand forecasting methodologies and inventory management principles
  • Experience with production planning software and scheduling tools
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies (preferred)
  • Experience with business intelligence or data visualization tools (preferred)
  • Knowledge of the Mexican manufacturing environment and supply chain dynamics (preferred)
  • Project management experience
