Job Description

The Stellantis Customer Experience Organization is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join the Quality team at the Stellantis Toluca Parts Distribution Center in Toluca, Mexico.

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, preparing shipping documentation, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, and maintaining accurate shipping records. This role supports operational efficiency by managing incoming and outgoing shipments, customs documentation, carrier communications, and inventory tracking while ensuring compliance with all applicable transportation and hazardous material regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Logistics

  • Prepare, process, and coordinate domestic and international shipments.
  • Create and maintain shipping documentation, bills of lading, customs paperwork, and carrier labels.
  • Schedule shipments with carriers including UPS, DHL, freight providers, and other transportation partners.
  • Monitor shipment status and provide tracking information to internal customers.
  • Verify shipment accuracy, including part numbers, quantities, shipping methods, and destinations.

Import / Export Compliance

  • Prepare export documentation utilizing company shipping systems and customs requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. and international import/export regulations.
  • Maintain supplier, broker, and tax identification records required for customs clearance.
  • Utilize export classification systems to verify parts and products prior to shipment.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers and transportation providers to resolve shipping and clearance issues.

Systems & Documentation

  • Utilize company systems to process and track shipments.
  • Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
  • Generate reports and shipment logs as required.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to support shipping operations and communication activities.

Regulatory & Safety Compliance

  • Follow all transportation, customs, and hazardous material (HazMat) regulations.
  • Obtain and maintain required HazMat shipping certifications.
  • Ensure all shipping activities comply with company policies, governmental regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain shipping records in accordance with retention and audit requirements.

Inventory & Material Control

  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain organized shipping and storage areas.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation and shipment discrepancy investigations.
  • Report damaged, missing, or non-conforming shipments to management.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree preferred.
  • Experience of at least 3 years in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain functions preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures.
  • Understanding of customs documentation, import/export processes, and carrier systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet shipping deadlines.
  • HazMat certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid Passport for international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automotive, manufacturing, or parts distribution operations.
