Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

• Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
• Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
• Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Join Barclays Mexico Operations Team based in Mexico City – This Middle Office and Settlement Analyst role supports the Mexico Rates and FX Desk to ensure an accurate post trade execution. You will support key operations processes of the trade lifecycle. Previous experience in post trade execution services is desirable. Fluency in Spanish and English languages is required.

To be successful in your role as Middle Office and Settlements Analyst, you should have:

• Knowledge of Fixed Income, OTC and Listed Derivatives Products

• An understanding of the trade lifecycle management with a Risk and Control Mindset

• Fundamentals of Mexican Central Bank Circular 4/2012

Other highly valued skills include:

• Knowledge of AI software tools in Copilot

• Advanced Data Skills

• Skills in Alteryx and Python
