This Metrology Equipment Technician will support sustaining clean room environment while prioritizing equipment recovery and troubleshooting, perform Preventative Maintenance (PMs) and run routine weekly equipment qualifications. This position will perform equipment recovery and root cause troubleshooting as well as create and perform equipment improvement projects. The technician will be responsible for updating and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Collaboration with supervisors, equipment engineering, manufacturing teams, and tool vendors will be necessary to prioritize work tasks and align with company objectives. The technician will document and detail the steps taken to resolve equipment issues. The role requires the ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods and to bend or flex in awkward positions as necessary for equipment repairs.
Role and Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Work in the fab to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities with a mindset toward root cause analysis, standardization, and 6S. Willingness to work in a 24/7 high volume manufacturing environment.
Ability to walk extended periods in the fab to be physically present during equipment recoveries.
Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively.
Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
Teamwork and Communication: Able to work well in a team environment and effectively communicate throughout organization.
Work closely with Supervisor, Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing and tool vendors to prioritize work tasks and help achieve goals.
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
2 years of college or technical school preferred. Any Semiconductor equipment maintenance experience is a plus Metrology experience is a plus Attention to detail.
Initiative and continuous improvement mindset.
Basic computer skills.
Basic understanding of Microsoft office/excel/powerpoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to use and operate basic hand tools.
The current base salary range for this role is between $20.50 - $46.00/hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
