The metering analyst-MV-90 retrieves meter data from the field using the MV-90 software, spends time researching a wide variety of information requests concerning this data, analyzing trends in billing data, sending meter data to various departments and composing routine correspondence; trouble shooting metering problems with field personnel; issuing regular reports following established procedures; collecting, summarizing and assembling charts, graphs and tables. The position involves contact with other departments, management and co-workers.
Process and maintain information using MV-90 software including meter data retrieval, data validation, exporting files, billing mismatch analysis, MISO requests, database maintenance and report generation. (50%) Provide MV-90 related metering support to various departments including obtaining meter data information and communicating that information via personal contact, phone contact or written correspondence to other departments. (20%) Analyze and maintain databases, report data and create reports on a scheduled basis and as requested. (10%) Respond to meter data inquiries and provide problem resolution based on MV-90 data handling policies and procedures or past experiences. (10%) Provide staff support for department procurement activities, dispatching field work with the CAD system, payroll data entry, coordinating and tracking special meter projects, and meter inventory issues. Backup for Metering Analyst ¿ MCIS (5%) Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. (5%)
Bachelor's degree and at least one year of technical experience or an associate's or technical degree and three years of technical experience or equivalent experience. Three years of experience using Microsoft Office tools, MCIS data extraction, CSS data extraction, or other equivalent technical experience. Effective oral and written communication skills to process information timely and accurately. Demonstrated proficiency in personal computer skills; experience using Microsoft Office software products; proficiency in keying and software program features based on required assessments. Effective analytical skills to recognize patterns in data, information or events, to draw logical conclusions and to make recommendations for action. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective coordination skills to coordinate various work groups to solve problems. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
