The Meter Technician performs clerical and field installation work. The employee must communicate with customers relating to all residential and commercial service in a polite manner and complete other projects assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Special Requirements:
Must possess and maintain a valid class "C" Texas Driver's License or higher. Must have a clean driver's record through D.O.T. Must be able to withstand outdoor (i.e., cold, hot, humid, rainy) working conditions. Must be able to obtain a Class D water license within one year of employment or may be released from the City of Conroe. Must arrive to work on time daily and be able to work fluctuating after hours, weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is heavy to medium and requires the ability to exert up to 70 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and talking.
