Nucor Steel Kingman is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Metallurgist. Principal duties include participating in safety, commercial excellence, and continuous improvement of the rolling and melting processes, as well as driving overall quality improvement throughout the facility. The successful candidate will support process and product development initiatives, training efforts, and the use of statistical process control tools. The Quality team works to identify quality trends, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions that support product quality and customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with individuals from a variety of technical, operational, and leadership backgrounds. They are confident in asking questions, proactive in seeking understanding, attentive to details, and capable of effectively prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities. This teammate will partner with the Roll Mill and Melt Shop to establish clearly defined processes that meet customer expectations while supporting the division's objectives for safety, quality, productivity, and profitability.
