We’relooking for a Metallurgist Engineer to join our Quality Team in Chihuahua. In this role,you’llsupervise and manage processes related to the production, processing, and analysis of metals and alloys, ensuring that operations are efficient, safe, and compliant with established quality standards.You’llmanage assigned resources and work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Production, andCorporateteams to resolve technical issues,optimizeprocesses, and support the company’s success and growth in the sector. This is an opportunity to lead metallurgical performance, strengthen technical capabilities, and drive continuous improvement across casting and metal transformation processes.

WHAT YOU’LL BUILD & OWN

• Daily processwalkthroughs,monitoring metal transformation to ensure quality standards are met.

• Perform metallurgical analysis, laboratory testing, and material evaluations to ensure products meet technical and regulatory specifications.

• Optimizeproduction byidentifyingimprovement opportunities in existing processes and proposing solutions to increase productivity and reduce waste.

• Ensure activitiescomply withapplicable safety, occupational health, environmental, quality, and industry regulations and standards.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production to resolve technical issues andoptimizeoverall operations.

• Mentor Production, Process Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance personnel on metallurgical processes and requirements.

• Maintain assertive communication with Corporateregardingmetallurgical topics, projects, and operational needs.

• Assistas a primary contact for issues related to the metal composition of casting products.

• Manage and train assigned resources to support technical development and operational requirements.

• Maintainaccurateprocess records, test results, and analyses, and prepare technical reports and recommendations for management and other teams.

• Analyze metallurgical test results and material evaluations, and make decisions based on the available data and findings.

• Resolve quality issues by addressing technical problems, proposing solutions, and overseeing implementation.

• Maintain records of weekly activities, prepare technical reports, and update documentation related to processes and projects.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during daily operations, working with multidisciplinary teams as needed.

• Participate in continuous process improvement programs.

• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through training courses, seminars, conferences, and updates on technological and regulatory advances in metallurgy.

• Participate in team meetings, report project progress, and discuss strategies to improve efficiency and quality.

• Advance assigned projects, ensuring established deadlines and budgets are met.

• Publish a monthly quality report analyzing quality test results, including strength, hardness, chemical composition, and other applicable characteristics, and assess compliance with technical specifications and regulations.

• Generate andsubmita monthly metallurgical analysis report to management, summarizing analyses performed, including microstructures, heat treatments, and mechanical and physical properties of processed metals.

• Provide training and coaching reports for personnel under supervision, focused on technical skill development and compliance with training requirements.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineeringora relatedfield.

• Englishproficiency

• At least 8 years of experience in a similar position.

• Experience in nodular iron manufacturing.

• Experience with in-process molding.

• Knowledge of induction furnace refractory maintenance.

• Experience with sand molding processes.

• Knowledge of statistical tools.

• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.

• Experience with data and trend analysis.

• Experience preparing documentation, procedures, method sheets, and forms.

• Knowledge of geometric and dimensional tolerances.
