
Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. (SI), an engineering consulting firm dedicated to the
analysis and prevention of mechanical and structural failures for a variety of industries, is
seeking a candidate for a Metallurgical Engineering Consultant position to provide metallurgical
and failure analysis services at SI’s Material Science Center in Austin, Texas.
This position requires a B.S. degree in metallurgy or materials engineering and 15 years of experience related to metallurgical failure analysis consulting services. Project management experience, and detailed knowledge of destructive laboratory testing, metallography, and microscopy related to power generation and general industrial
component failures is desired. Candidates should either have a PE license or have an identified path toward PE licensure. This is a laboratory-based position with occasional technical support on field projects that SI conducts in power generation and similar facilities, with potential for advancement to include management responsibilities. The expected salary range for this role is $120,000 - $135,000/year in Austin, TX. Exact pay will be commensurate with location, experience, and qualifications.
