Job Description

Fire and Safety Australia is seeking a highly experienced Medical Emergency Services Officer (MESO) for a FIFO role located in Kalgoorlie. This role is critical to site safety and requires someone capable of working independently and confidently across both medical and emergency response functions. You will need to bring both clinical and fire/rescue expertise as you will be required to train and mentor others.

This role is for a minimum of four months working autonomously. You will be required to cover throughout the Christmas and New Year break.

This position is also suitable for Kalgoorlie-based candidates.

4D Mon-Thur

Qualifications/Requirements Required:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an ESO role
  • Strong medical response and fire/rescue capability
  • Proven self-starter with initiative
  • Cert III in Mines Rescue Response (or equivalent)
  • Cert IV in Health Care (Ambulance) or higher
  • UOC in Drug & Alcohol Testing
  • HR/MR Driver’s Licence (Manual)
  • Cert IV in Training & Assessment – will be responsible for planning and delivering training to ERT members
  • Strong working knowledge of Cority, SAP, Excel, and Word
  • ESSA Certification (desirable but not essential)
  • Commitment to safety and inclusivity – diverse candidates encouraged to apply

Roles are located in the Pilbara, FIFO from Perth. Being located in Western Australia is essential for these roles.

Responsibilities will include:

Responding to incidents and accidents. Training ERT members.
