MES Product Owner (Manufacturing Systems)

What is your role?
As an MES Product Owner, you will partner with business leaders, users, and IT teams to define, implement, and support standardized Camstar MES and PAC SCADA solutions across multiple divisions in a global environment. This role combines manufacturing systems knowledge, business analysis, and project leadership to deliver scalable, cost-effective solutions. You will help translate business needs into technical solutions while ensuring alignment with Corning IT standards and Manufacturing 4.0 architecture.
Major responsibilities and tasks of the position
- Partner with business users, internal teams, and external stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution scope, and translate business needs into effective MES and SCADA solutions.
- Lead solution planning and execution across the project lifecycle, including discovery, requirements, design, build, testing, implementation, and support.
- Serve as the main point of contact for site business users, supporting testing, training readiness, communication, and successful deployment.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and support teams to ensure solutions follow Corning IT practices, support Manufacturing 4.0 standards, and deliver business value.
What do you need to have?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in IT project management and/or manufacturing operations.
- Experience or strong interest in manufacturing systems and Manufacturing Execution Systems such as Camstar, PAC, Proficy, or similar platforms.
- Strong project leadership skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and drive execution.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across business and technical teams.
- Availability to travel up to 10% internationally; position based in Monterrey or Reynosa, Mexico.
