Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as a back end developer.

The MES Backend Developer is responsible for the development and maintenance of MES backend components and business logic, working closely with the MES Champion / Modeler to implement reliable and scalable MES solutions.

The role requires strong backend development capabilities combined with a basic understanding of MES modelling, enabling the developer to understand the functional structure of the solution and correctly integrate custom developments with the MES model.

This role is contributing to the IT Business in Juarez, Nuevo Leon.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain MES backend logic, services and extensions.
• Implement business rules and custom application logic.
• Perform basic MES modelling and configuration when required.
• Understand and work with MES models created by the MES Champion / Modeler.
• Follow global architecture, coding, naming and development standards.
• Perform unit testing, debugging and technical troubleshooting.
• Support integration with Frontend, SAP and IoT components.
• Support deployment, issue resolution and continuous improvement of MES applications.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management, computer systems, business engineering or similar.
• 5+ years of experience within Manufacturing or Computer Science related role.
• Knowledge of MES and ERP systems, materials management and production control, Critical Manufacturing MES and SAP preferred.
• Proven track record of backend development for mid size projects.
• Strong backend programming capabilities.
• Experience with discrete manufacturing & capability to analyze and synthesize information obtained from various groups of stakeholders.
• Experience with production control, specifically MES/ECS systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Availability to travel with possibly some international travel.
• Fluent English.
