Merchant Services is the payment acceptance and merchant acquiring arm of JPMorgan Chase. Reporting to the head of Merchant Services International Pricing, we seek a pricing associate for our International Merchant Services business with a focus on Europe. The role will play an integral part in the development & execution of the regions pricing strategy. The successful individual will manage revenue/cost and scenario models which will drive key business decisions, compile ad-hoc impact analysis for pricing structure changes and unique pricing scenarios and manage the deal approval process. This role is APAC focused but there will be exposure to other MS markets (Americas & EU)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as owner of APAC pricing model, maintaining the model and updating as required for new products & pricing strategies. Provide training and support to model users
  • Engage in custom modelling for unique pricing scenarios
  • Managing BAU pricing approval process & tracking approvals, maintaining pricing SOP’s and ensuring the team is audit ready
  • Prepare Ad Hoc analysis as required including financial modelling, support of customer requests and customer profitability analysis
  • Engage in cross functional collaboration to understand upcoming interchange fee, scheme fee & internal product changes and asses impact from a pricing perspective
  • Review of clients contracts and pricing models to ensure accuracy, supporting onboarding teams with queries around pricing and pricing model outputs.
  • Manage end to end engagement on contract creation – Lead efforts to streamline pricing process from financial modelling/pricing proposals and associated approvals to contract creation and client onboarding, working with impacted teams on finding optimal workflows
  • Support other management directives as prescribed

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Experienced MS excel user (intermediate to advanced)
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, role requires working with other employees across all levels and multiple different teams.

Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities:

  • Degree in Business/Finance/Maths/Economics or equivalent. Accounting/Finance background preferred. Payments/Merchant acquiring experience is beneficial.
  • Automation/AI experience is beneficial
