A leading international retailer in home improvement, decoration, and renovation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Explain and communicate to stores the requirements and necessary tools for implementing merchandising guidelines (company strategy, leaflet updates, etc.).
- Participate in designing store shelf layouts and create micro-plans and detailed planograms (store openings, remodelings, placement of new products) in collaboration with Product Managers and Department Managers.
- Conduct store visits in order to collect information related to the plans that will be developed.
- Participate in the implementation of detailed planograms in stores, guide team members, monitor the completion of the plan, and ensure proper signage.
- Stay updated on merchandising developments (competitor analysis, retail trends, consumer behavior, etc.).
Requirements
- University or Technological Institute degree; Master’s degree will be considered a plus.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar merchandising role within the retail sector.
- Excellent command of English.
- Knowledge of French will be considered an asset.
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Adobe Illustrator, AC Nielsen Spaceman, and Google SketchUp.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Team spirit, strong interpersonal skills, sense of responsibility, autonomy, and a hard-working attitude.
