We are looking to hire a Merchandising Manager/Display Product Manager. This position will be located in Hunt Valley, MD in a hybrid capacity. This position will report to the Sales Operations, Senior Manager.

The Merchandising Manager/Display Product Manager will support the Consumer organization by understanding strategic and tactical in-store merchandising requirements with the ability to translate those into timely design and execution while keeping within Divisional business strategy and budgets. In addition, the role will be expected to oversee the US Consumer IAR process.The Merchandising Manager is responsible for developing and executing compelling visual merchandising strategies that enhance the customer shopping experience, strengthen brand presentation, and support sales growth. The ideal candidate will combine strong creative design skills with retail business knowledge, project management capability, and cross-functional collaboration.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead design and execution of all US Consumer merchandising requirements to include complex floor displays, temporary displays and permanent equipment
  • Manage timelines, milestones and checkpoints to ensure that work is achieved on time in full
  • Fiduciary responsibility for capitalized and expensed costs for all merchandising vehicles. Identify, manage, execute optimization projects that drive cost savings and simplification while meeting business needs.
  • Act as liaison between field sales, trade marketing, marketing, procurement, and suppliers for all merchandising needs to include, but not limited to, new innovative solutions, item specific information, customer specific requests and inventory availability. Ensure requirements are delivered on time, within spec and within budget.
  • Ownership of Special Initiative Programs; Oversee cross-functional team; project management
  • Responsible for driving commercial decisions to reduce inventory write-offs (IAR)
  • Direct supervision of 2 exempt team members

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance or relevant discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional marketing/sales experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in merchandising, visual merchandising, visual display design, (CPG/retail)
  • Strong understanding of display design principles, planograms, and product presentation
  • Ability to showcase products effectively while enhancing the overall shopping experience and supports brand standards and strategies.
  • Demonstrated success at managing people, projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members, with proven ability to lead, coach, and manage people effectively. Ability to build strong teams, support employee performance, and foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Must be flexible, change-ready, detail oriented and deadline driven
  • Proven ability to plan, manage, and execute multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, coordinate resources, address challenges, and ensure high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinking, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Results oriented with a track record of successful program management
  • Broad perspective knowledge of CPG categories and merchandising vehicles in the marketplace; subject matter expertise
  • Excel and EDW reporting/analytics

Base Salary: 103,520 - 181,150

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
