The Merchandising Director of Lifestyle will direct all aspects of regional merchandising for the lifestyle product category in the North American region including line adoption for the region; assortment planning by channel; providing channel and category specific consumer insights at all milestone meetings; represent the sales and market POV in the product creation process. Work with Marketing on catalog creation and Go to Market execution.

Primary Duties:

  • Work with the North American region toidentifyassortment oflifestyleproducts, to order sales samples andassistin the creation ofinitialchannel-based forecasts

  • Leadsthe creation of channel-based collections and segmentation strategies with a particular focus on theTier 2 Athletic Specialtychannel as well asTier 0/1 Independentsand department stores that selllifestyleproducts.

  • Represent the POV of the sales teams in product milestone meetings byconsolidatingand providing feedback on behalf of the NA region. Support them in creating initial projections.

  • Develop a global network of stakeholders, includingbuyers, retailers andsales-peoplethat arecommunicated withregularly to inform, educate, and gather insights to helpidentifyopportunities.Act astheexpert on the competition in the market.

  • Lead pre-lining process with key accounts

  • Supportsellin,consolidatefeedback and report back to the product management team,identifySMU opportunities.

  • Performsduties consistent with the Company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies.

  • Performsother duties as required/assigned bymanager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required/MBA preferred or equivalent work experience.

  • 10+ years’ experience inlifestylefootwearretail,salesor merchandising

  • Proven leadership skills with at least6years’ experience at themanagerlevel.

  • Proven working knowledge oftheathleticspecialty(mall), independent lifestyleand sporting goodsindustry, including technology and productassortments, materials,trendsand the overall marketplace.

  • Extensive productknowledgeandunderstanding ofregionalmarkets and competitors.

  • Strong business acumen,merchandisingand analyticalskillsets

  • Exceptional follow-through skills and attention to detail.

  • Outstanding communication skills arerequired, including the ability to manage strong and effective cross functional relationships within the organization.

  • Proficientin retail math.

Working Conditions:

Remote working conditions. Some travel may be required.

Salary Minimum

$152,000.00

Salary Maximum

$199,500.00
