Job Description

We are looking for a Merchandising Assistant Intern as of July 2026 and for a minimum of 6 months.

As a Merchandising Assistant Intern, you will assist the Merchandising Manager and the Junior Merchandising manager in various tasks related to product display, visual merchandising, and retail operations. You will collaborate closely with the team to ensure effective implementation of merchandising strategies and enhance the overall customer experience.

Your internship @ CHANEL:

  • Marketing Campaign Implementation: Support the implementation of marketing campaigns in stores across the Benelux region. This includes updating visuals, decorations, and signage in accordance with brand guidelines for all launches.
  • Planogram Preparation and Management: Assist in preparing planograms and managing orders for merchandising placement in stores. Provide briefs and guidelines to teams and suppliers to ensure consistency and alignment with Chanel's brand image for each launch.
  • Product Launch Support: Assist in managing product launches through visual merchandising activities. Coordinate with the team to ensure effective presentation and promotion of new products in-store through different configurations of PLV.
  • Store Analysis: Analyze the database of configurations of all points of sales and collaborate with the team to adapt POS strategies for optimal visibility and product placement.
  • New POS Openings Management: Support the management of new POS openings with suppliers. This includes briefing, validation, ordering, and installation coordination to ensure a smooth launch.
  • Point of Contact for POS Issues: Serve as the primary point of contact for any issues related to POS and act promptly to address and resolve them in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Sales Team Support: Maintain constant follow-up with sales teams to ensure they have the necessary tools for sales and provide support to enhance visibility and maximize sales opportunities. Act as the point of contact for all merchandising-related questions on the field, providing guidance and support to ensure consistency and excellence in store presentation.
  • CSR Project Management: Assist in managing the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) project in collaboration with multiple departments, ensuring alignment with Chanel's values and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, retail management, merchandising or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, project management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in retail or beauty industry is a plus.
  • Living in or near Brussels or willing to relocate.
  • Proficiency in English and French is mandatory; knowledge of Dutch is advantageous.
