Job Description
Mode of Work: Onsite
Working Days & Timings: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Merchandiser who can coordinate with buyers, internal departments, sampling, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth order execution from development to shipment. The role requires strong follow-up, buyer communication, costing coordination, and production timeline management.
Key Responsibilities
Buyer Coordination & Order Execution
- Coordinate with buyers, clients, and internal teams for order development and execution.
- Review buyer requirements, tech packs, samples, trims, fabrics, pricing, and production timelines.
- Communicate buyer comments and requirements to Sampling, Pattern, Production, and Quality departments.
- Support client relationship management through professional communication and timely updates.
Sampling, Production & Shipment Follow-Up
- Follow up on sampling, approvals, production status, quality updates, and shipment deadlines.
- Monitor order progress from inquiry stage to final shipment.
- Ensure timely approvals of samples, fabrics, trims, accessories, and production-related requirements.
- Coordinate with sourcing and production teams for material availability and production planning.
Documentation & Issue Escalation
- Assist in preparing costing sheets, quotations, order details, and commercial documentation.
- Maintain proper records of buyer communication, order files, approvals, and follow-ups.
- Identify delays, production issues, or approval gaps and escalate them on time.
- Ensure all merchandising activities are aligned with buyer expectations and company timelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Textile, Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in merchandising within garment/textile manufacturing.
- Experience in sportswear, activewear, workwear, or export apparel preferred.
- Knowledge of tech packs, buyer approvals, and production timelines.
