Job Description

The Merchandiser is responsible for developing and monitoring top-down product range strategies (geographies/channels) in accordance with company objectives concerning turnover and profitability, to which the bottom-up logic of the single point of sale is integrated, in agreement with the Buyer . The role has 3 core responsibilities: 1) supporting the manager in achieving the right balance between consumer expectations and the company's turnover and profitability objectives through a dynamic range; 2) "Pre-Season": supporting the Manager in the development of ranges (ensuring that the right amount of goods is available in the store and is sold at the right price) based on the past and on forecasts for the development of the Collection ; 3) "In Season": Analyzing and monitoring the development of sell-through and supporting the manager in the development of techniques aimed at developing both short-term and long-term seasonal business (Sales Outlet and Chain).

Qualifications

1.01 Monitors actual performance versus the plan, by implementing corrective actions (stock reduction and warehouse rotation) indicated by the Manager to maximize sales and profits

1.02 Monitors and ensures that orders in the Sales Campaign are consistent with the assortment defined

1.03 Supports the Manager in developing the Merchandising Plan through a framework that takes into account the Buyer's requests and the commercial needs and company profitability

1.04 Collects and analyzes data relating to the market, consumer patterns, historical data and to current trends to develop a Merchandising Plan through a progressive phasing process

1.05 Constantly monitor the activity of the external market, through various sources and through regular visits to competing stores

1.06 Constantly monitor individual stocks with the agreed levels

1.07 Ensures that launch and delivery dates are respected to guarantee the optimization of production planning

1.08 Promotes the development of role learning through proactive, team and digital activities, aimed at innovation and improving effectiveness/ efficiency of its Responsibilities

1.09 Promotes, adopts and develops the use of digital technologies within its function in relation to both process management and in relations with internal and external interlocutors involved in the business

1.10 Adopts significant behaviors and promotes actions operational/cultural for Sustainable Development, understood as the interconnection of practices oriented towards the Care of the Environment, Business Processes and Organizational Community

  • Master in Fashion Management / Buying and Merchandising
  • Previous experience in the role ( at least 6 months / 1 year)
  • Excellent Knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent Knowledge of English
